Privacy policy

This page is an English translation provided for convenience. The French version is the authoritative one.
This policy describes how personal data is handled on octocube.fr. This is a showcase site: it offers no account, no form and no payment. You only provide personal data if you choose to write to me or to book a call.
Data controller
Octocube — Olivier Caetano, sole trader (entrepreneur individuel), 1A rue des Chaneaux, 63200 Marsat, France. Contact: contact@octocube.fr.
Data processed
- Browsing the site — no account, no form, no cookie stored by this site. Page views feed the aggregated audience measurement described below, which cannot identify you.
- Technical logs — the hosting provider records connection logs, including the IP address, as required to run and secure the site.
- Email — first and last name, email address, professional contact details, and whatever you choose to include in your message.
- Booking a call — the information you enter on Calendly to schedule the call: identity, email address and chosen slot.
- Trackers — the site stores no cookie on your device; according to its vendor, the audience measurement does not store one either (see “Audience measurement”).
Purposes and legal bases
Your data is used to answer your enquiries, arrange a call, look into a need or a project, and handle the pre-contractual or commercial follow-up that results. These operations rely on pre-contractual steps taken at your request and on the publisher’s legitimate interest in responding to enquiries. Once a commercial relationship starts, they also rely on performance of the contract and on the applicable legal and accounting obligations.
Booking a call
Booking a slot goes through Calendly, an external provider. The link opens the Calendly site: no Calendly component is embedded in octocube.fr pages. Calendly is a third-party service with its own privacy policy, and it is only contacted from the moment you click that link. You are free to use it or not, and the information you enter there is then processed to arrange the call. Writing to contact@octocube.fr remains possible if you would rather not use that service.
Audience measurement
This site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to measure its audience. According to the information published by its vendor, the tool stores no cookie and records no information on your device; it uses neither a persistent identifier nor a browser fingerprint, and cannot follow you from one site to another. The statistics produced are aggregated and cannot identify you. No consent is therefore required for this measurement. The service is provided by Cloudflare, Inc., a company established in the United States; your IP address is passed to it in order to determine the country of connection, without being retained.
Recipients
Your data is processed by the publisher alone. It may also be processed by the technical providers involved in the service you use: the site’s hosting provider (Hostinger International Limited), Cloudflare for audience measurement and, if you choose to book a call, Calendly. No data is sold, rented or transferred for advertising purposes.
Retention
Contact enquiries are kept for at most six months from the last exchange. If a commercial relationship starts, the corresponding data is kept for the duration of that relationship, then for the periods required by the applicable contractual, accounting and legal obligations.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase and restrict processing of your data, as well as the right to object and the right to portability where they apply. To exercise them, write to contact@octocube.fr.
You may also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (cnil.fr).
Security
Access to data is limited to the publisher, and exchanges with the site are encrypted in transit (HTTPS).
